Propagating plants!
Materials
- 1 plastic cup
- 1 pin/ compass
- point
- dirt
- Peddles/drainage
- seedling/seeds
Procedure:
- Step 1
Find a plastic cup or a plastic container
- Step 2
Grab 1 pin or a compass point to make holes at the bottom of your container or plastic cup.
- Step 3
Test your holes by putting water into your container or cup to see if the water drains down smoothly.
- Step 4
After testing your holes now put 3 quarters of dirt to protect the water from drainages.
- Step 5
Then after put one finger into the middle of the stones and rock to make space for the plant that your planting. Then place your seed or plant into the whole.

Protect me George!
WALHT: In reading this article I have been learning close reading and inference skills to analyse text to learn more about the qualities of heroes.
In this article George was a hero. He was a Jack Russell dog who saved five children who were attacked by two Pit-Bulls. The dogs targeted the smallest child. George put himself at risk to protect the children. George was bitten so badly, he was taken to the vet. George could not recover so they put him to sleep.
George saved the five children from the pit bulls who were attacking them. He was a small dog and the other dogs are thickly built, and known for causing serious injuries and dogs attacks.
He believed in protecting the children and not thinking of himself. These actions showed that he was brave and confident to take on these bigger dogs.
The act of protecting the children shows that George was courageous.
George was awarded three different medals because of the act of George’s bravery.

The kidnapped child!

One day in 2013, there was a little girl who lived in Australia. She lived with her parents in a flat house near an old, old house.
One evening, the parents decided to travel overseas to Las Vegas but the little girl did not agree to it because she loved the flat house that they were staying in.Unfortunately for her, being only 8 years old, she had no choice but to go with them. She was far too young to be left alone with a friend.
They packed all their clothes in bags and they were loaded into the plane. While on the plane they talked and discussed where they were going to stay for 40 days. The little girl wanted to live in a hotel that was near the city and surprisingly, her parents agreed to it.
Once they hopped out of the plane, they caught a cab and told the driver to take them to a hotel near the city. The cab driver asked, “What is the child’s name?”
The little girl’s father said, “It’s Ria!”
The driver looked at the little girl and said, “Hello!” But the little girl did not say a thing at all. She was a quiet girl. Moments later, the girl looked at the mirror and at that exact minute, she saw the man was making an evil face at her.
Finally they arrived at the hotel and the father took a picture of the plate number and the number of the cab that the driver was driving, (thinking that if they needed a taxi again, he could get the same man).They walked into the hotel and saw a women sitting at the reception. They asked the woman, “Do you have an available room for us to stay for 40 days?”
She said, “You guys are the most luckiest family because there is only one room available.. It is on floor 6 number 187 , There are two beds in the room.’.
They replied, “Thank you very much for help!” The driver didn’t go till then, he listened to everything that they said... even what room and floor they were on.
A few days later, around 3:00am, the cab driver, entered the hotel and went into their room and dragged the little girl out of the bed, into the bathroom and taped her mouth before she could scream. Slowly he walked her out and threw her into the cab without anyone noticing.
The clock hit 8:00am and the parents were finally awake. They saw the little girl’s bed, it was empty. They looked everywhere in the hotel, in the bathroom, closet and asked the same lady who was at the reception. Sofia, who was the security for the cameras in the hotel, checked to see if there was any sign of what may have happened to the little girl. They checked all the hotel rooms. They had one more camera left to check and that was the one that showed the main entry of the hotel. Shock noises escaped from the mouths of the little girl’s parents throats when they saw Ria and the taxi driver behind her pushing her inside the same cab that had brought them earlier.
The parents were hysterical, desperately trying to work out what to do next. The father suddenly remembered taking a photo of the number plate and the phone number of the cab. They drove down to the boss of the cabs in Alvindale. “Have you seen a man with blonde hair?” the father asked.
The man he was addressing replied, “ He has taken a passenger to the other side of Las Vegas. They asked the boss if he knew the street and the boss said, “Allidon Street.” Driving as quickly as possible, they followed the directions they had been given to get there.
They recognised the cab when they arrived because it had the same number plate. They Both the father and the mother ran, each of them had a AK47 to protect themselves. The door was open and inside sat Ria tied up. The taxi driver did not know that the parents could see him and was just about to shoot poor little Ria in the head!
While the little girl’s mother, watched in fear, her husband ran in to save his child’s life. The taxi driver was so shocked that he froze for a minute and that is when the father hit him in the chest with the butt of his gun and he died.
Taking the tape off the Ria’s mouth, they untied the ropes and released her. They grabbed her safely, kissed and hugged her and took her safely home.
