St. Patrick’s School
Saint Patrick's School is a place where students can get an education.
At school we learn, create and share our ideas. School when we are five years old. Cleaners cleans our school to make it smell nice and shining. Our principal to run, guide our school and look after the students. Teachers teaches us new things things that students don’t understand.
At this school, the students studies hard to learn new skills. They use books, Chromebooks or netbooks to get more information and to learn more education. Saint Patrick’s School has a sick bay to take care of any injuries. Our school has a lunchroom so students can place their lunch orders. Saint Patrick’s have programs like APOPS where we have the opportunity to hear musical instruments. Also ‘Trash to Fashion’ and Kiwi sports like softball, netball, basketball and many more.
Saint Patrick’s School celebrates Mission Day. All the money that is raised goes to the Holy Angel’s Orphanage. They have a Cultural Festival where the students get to perform a dance from a different culture. St. Patrick’s celebrate St.Patrick’s Day and the Christmas production. These events are celebrated because it is important for the school as it’s a part of their identity.
In the morning, we have Religious Education so that we can learn about God. In maths, students learn number, fractions and place value. They also learn how to read and write. These subjects help them to learn new skills that they need. They are also able to blog and share their learning.
St. Patrick’s School is a place where students can learn important life skills and gain knowledge that will help them later in life. WALT plan and write an explanation writing.

What do you like to do on a Friday afternoon?
On Friday after school my uncle and my auntie picked my 2 brothers, cousin and I from school. My little brother wanted to go home but my uncle said that there was something that we had to do before going home. My brother cried out loud like a dragon coming down to the ground. So my uncle told him that we could go home and drop him off first.
When we got home, my auntie said to us,“Go and change into your clean clothes”. We got changed and put on our shoes and we all rushed to the car like racing cars. Then we locked the car because we were so excited. My auntie drove the car and we were off to get our surprise.
We went to McDonalds to get some ice cream. My uncle and auntie wanted to sign something so we went. Soane, Akesa and I thought that we were going home but we went to Wendy’s. I told my auntie that I haven’t tried Wendy’s before and my auntie said “It comes with free ice cream”. However, I told my uncle that we already ate ice cream at McDonalds so my uncle asked “What do you want beef or chicken?” Soane wanted to have a beef burger and so did my uncle. Akesa and I wanted to have chicken. Wendy was more organised than McDonald’s because their service was a lot faster.
We went to the park and my uncle said that the surprise was that we were getting rabbits. I asked him if they were wild rabbits with red eyes and he answered ‘Yes’. We were so excited because we wanted to catch those rabbits. Rabbits are so cute. We got to the park and we didn’t see any rabbits because there were a lot of dogs and children. After a minute, the children and the dogs left the park. When they left, the rabbits had disappeared as well.
I had so much fun, it was like I took my first driving lesson.

Have you parents ever eaten a spider when they were little?
Have your parents or friends ever eaten bugs or spiders?
My father had an apple given by his mother from a tree. It was the last apple on the tree and my dad was still little he really wanted to eat it. The apple from the tree had a black spider on it because they forgot to wash the apple. He took a bite of the apple and he said to his mother that the apple tastes funny and that he didn't like it. He looked at the apple and saw the body of the spider and the head was gone. He was crying because it tasted so bad and he was scared because he knows that black spiders are really poisonous. His tummy was really sore so he had to go to the hospital.
If I see a spider will run to the bathroom and vomit there!
WALT write a recount using the correct structure. I know this when I write the events of a disgusting event in order.
